Entangled Tales - 12 - Toddy & Daniel

When they joined the others, introductions were passed around, and then more cans of beer, but Daniel refused saying, "Uh, Uh, not for me, thanks. That stuff killed my parents, I never touch it."

"Fair enough," Barney replied. "All the more for us then. You go easy on it too, Jinks. We don't want any drink-biking accidents."

"Get your own bloody bike then!"

They goofed around for a while and then, when boredom began, biked back to town - to Barney's house, for munchies. Max took Daniel on his bike, but he sat on the bar - he wasn't game to perch up on the handlebars like Toddy did.

They hung around for a couple of hours, battling on the Playstation and insulting each other, then eventually drifted off home for dinner and chores.

After dinner, Barney went across to the Peters' house and, on asking for Daniel, was directed to the garage at the back of the yard. He knocked on the side door, but then decided that he wouldn't be heard anyway, so he opened the door and went in.

Daniel sat, cross-legged, on the empty work-bench at the end of the garage, bent over his wailing guitar. He looked up when Barney entered and flashed a quick grin. "Hello again. Not just going to peep in the window this time?"

He carefully laid the guitar down on the bench and leant to switch off his small amplifier. Barney protested, "Hey. Don't stop now. I just came over to watch you play."

"Well, okay, I guess. I'm not really that good. I'm not used to an audience - apart from Gran, smiling and nodding away even though she couldn't hear a thing with her hearing aid switched off. And, apart from Tony of course."

"Tony? Who's Tony? Is that the friend who won't talk to you anymore?"

"I don't suppose it'd do any good to tell you that I don't want to talk about it?"

"No. Of course it wouldn't. I'm a persistent bugger, remember? It helps to talk about what's bugging you, everyone knows that. And this is obviously bugging you. So who's Tony?"

"Tony is my friend, my best friend. Well he was, before all this happened anyway. We were a team - the Terrible Twosome - like Siamese twins almost. We grew up together, practically lived in each other's houses, and we did everything together. We played together, fought together sometimes. We ate together, slept together, hell, we even used to have baths together until we grew too big and there wasn't enough room.

We shared our friends, toys, books, clothes - everything. We shared our lives. Closer than brothers because we were exactly the same age. Our birthdays are on the same day and we always had shared birthday parties - his house one year and mine the next.

I held his hand at his granddad's funeral, and when my parents died, he cried more than I did. And, then - I had to leave, and he wouldn't talk to me. He wouldn't say goodbye, just changed the subject and refused to talk about it. Then, on my last day, he ran away somewhere and hid and no-one could find him until we'd gone."

The torrent of words stopped and Daniel hung his head forward, hiding his face in the curtain of his hair.

And that's why your world is blue, isn't it?" said Barney sitting down on the bench next to him. "Were you queer? Or, 'gay' is the word isn't it?"

"Oh, sure. Hot steamy sex at 3, 4, 5 years old. No. That's not it at all. That's one place we never went. Would you have sex with your brother?"

"Ewww."

"Exactly - Ewww. I did love him though. He was my friend, my brother, my soul-mate. And, now it's gone. He's still there and I'm here - hundreds of miles away, forever. He won't talk to me, and I miss him sooo much!"

The last of Daniel's reserve crumbled away, the tears flowed and he hunched forward sobbing loudly. Barney, awkwardly, put an arm around the anguished boy's shoulders and then held him tightly as Daniel turned and hid his face on his shoulder and cried his heart out. He clung to Barney like a panicked drowning victim. They sat there for several long minutes, and then he pushed away from Barney's arms. He wiped his eyes with the back of his hand and made a little forced smile.

"Sorry. I shouldn't have done that - your shirt's all wet, and now you know that I'm the world's biggest wuss."

"That's nothing. You're not a wuss. That's just really sad. You had me crying too, and that's not easy to do."

"Yeah. well. Sorry."

"It's really hard to lose someone close like that, losing a soulmate. It's a bit like a death really."

"It's just like a death, something good has died. And don't tell me to give it time, because that won't work - every day we're apart the distance just gets bigger." Daniel's eyes started to tear up again.

"Can't you go back and find him?"

"No. I can't. That'd cost hundreds for the air fare and I've got no money. Besides, I've got to go to school and everything. I don't think they'd understand."

"Well I understand. I've got some money I could lend you. Probably not enough, but it'd be a start."

"Sure, fly halfway there until the cash runs out, and jump out and walk? But, thanks anyway. That's really nice of you."

"Hey, we're neighbours now. Look, Jinks and the other guys - I've known them all my life too, but they're not that close. I'm certainly not sharing my clothes with them. A special friendship doesn't happen to everyone, that's what makes it special. You're lucky to have known it. Your friend, Tony, must be hurting too, just as much as you are. That's probably why he won't talk to you. You can fix it, anything that's broken can be fixed."

"Yeah, sure. Try fixing a light-bulb that's been smashed."

"It could be done. No-one said it would be easy. Can you talk to his mother? Would she tell him how you're feeling?"

"I've tried that. The first time I rang I tried that. But when I rang back, she said that he won't talk to her about it either. It's just hopeless."

Barney moved his face towards him until their foreheads touched. Hazel/green eyes stared into blue eyes. "I can't take his place, but I'd like to be your friend too."

Daniel pulled back a little and quietly asked, "Are you gay?"

"Hey! What sort of a question is that? You don't go around asking guys if they're gay."

"I'm just asking. You keep turning up everywhere I go, being friendly, and, well, you asked me first."

"I did, didn't I? And you said no. Well, I'm not either. I'm just - being - friendly."

Like magnets, their heads drifted together, eyes closed and their lips gently touched together.

"Ohmigod! Ohmigod!" Barney jerked away, red-faced and babbling. "I don't know what - - I shouldn't have - - I didn't - -I've got to go!"

"Don't!" Daniel grabbed his arm and pulled him back, cupping his other hand around the back of his head, he kissed him again.

For a few seconds Barney stood rigid, unbelieving, then he suddenly melted and kissed him back - hard - passionately. Lips parted and tongues probed, hesitantly at first, and then gaining confidence, harder, urgently.

"Well, that was friendly!" said Daniel, breaking apart momentarily. The two young teens - one lonely and hurting, one curious and caring - became a matched pair of hormone-fired sex machines, aching, yearning, questing. They stood, arms wrapped around each other, legs intertwined, mouth to mouth, torso to torso, crotch to crotch, each trying to push harder into the other. Barney's hands slid down and grabbed and squeezed the globes of Daniel's tight young butt.

Daniel gasped and slid his mouth away sideways. "Barney, don't. Stop."

"Don't stop," he growled in reply.

"No. Stop it. We have to stop. We can't do this."

"Can't do this?" Barney's face dropped. "Don't you want to?"

"Yes, I want to. Oh, Man do I want to! But not now, not here, we can't. Look around you - there's no drapes on the windows, no lock on the door and nothing but a greasy old workbench or the cold concrete floor to lie on."

"Well, if that's all your problem is - we can do better than this. Come with me," he grinned tugging on Daniel's arm.

"Okay. But wait. Wait just a minute." He turned off the amp., and quickly unplugged and put the guitar away in its case, on a shelf above the end window. "Have to look after my Baby."

"Come on then, come and look after my baby! We can 'come together', oh yeah!"

They left the garage, turning out the lights, and ran out the driveway, across the street and into the garage at the front of the Todds' house.

"One garage to another. Out of the frying pan and into the kettle eh?"

"Come on, you'll see." Barney sang as he climbed the shelves on the side wall and swung up into the rafters under the garage roof. "Cum together. Cum together, right now - over me.""

Daniel followed up the wall and, lifting his head above the platform, grinned at the candle-lit sight of Barney stretching out on an old double-bed mattress. "Yes! This is more like it." He exclaimed as he scrambled up to join him.

"Certainly is. There's not much head-room, but plenty of room to lie down. This is where I come to be alone with my thoughts."

"Where you come to cum you mean." He pushed aside a pile of old Playboys and Penthouses.

"Oh, yes! With my ladies. Now," pushing forward and touching lips together again. "Where were we?"

Their mouths locked together and Barney rolled onto his back pulling Daniel over on top of him. His fingers slid under the bottom of Daniel's loose shirt, and up and around on his smooth back.

Daniel lifted the sides of Barney's shirt and lightly ran his hands up and down the sides of his rib cage, causing a few involuntary, ticklish jumps.

"Press harder so it doesn't tickle," He gasped.

Shirts slid up and off without even seeming to part their hungry mouths. They stretched out together, skin against skin, and their still clothed groins ground together - hard, eager young cocks pushing against each other.

Shoes, socks, and pants were quickly shed and then both pairs of boxer briefs came off to reveal the naked white regions that were never kissed by the sun. two almost identical hard, hot, young cocks slid up and down, lubricating each other with their leaking pre-cum. Pubes brushed against each other and their sensitive ball-sacs rubbed together. Daniel, still on top, supported his upper-body weight on his forearms. Barney clung to him and flared his thighs wide open, hooking the sides of their heels together.

Moaning, grunting and whimpering, they slid and thrust their bodies together while their mouths sucked on each other's shoulders. Faster and faster they worked at it until both jerking cocks fired together - muscles pulsing squirt after squirt of cum out to be mixed and rubbed together into a smooth white paste spreading across their bellies and up to the chests.

"Whoah!" gasped Daniel, totally spent, as he rolled off and over on to his back. "That was bloody brilliant." He roused up again for one final, brief, kiss, then lay back panting.

Barney sat up, fished out a cum rag and cleaned them both up - first Daniel, then himself. He recovered his trousers and pulled out his cigarettes. He lit one and offered the filter end to Daniel, then lit another for himself and lay back with a sigh. "After sex ciggies, it's a great tradition. You've gone very quiet. Is everything all right? Not sorry are you?"

"Hell, no! Everything's fantastic. I just want to do that again. And again, and again."

"Well, give us a couple of minutes. So, you're not gay, huh? Do you still claim that you never did that with your Tony?"

"No, we didn't. I've never done that with anybody."

"You haven't? You mean you were a virgin? Well you're not now, I just popped your cherry."

Daniel sat up and grinned down at him. "Popped my cherry? I think it friggin' exploded, man! That was awesome. Thank you so much. You are a toddy - you're hot and sweet and full of fire. So you've done it before then? With someone else?"

"Yes, sort of. I used to have a girlfriend and we did it a few times - it was sort off the same. But with Sherry it was always kind of awkward, I just felt like I was acting in a play or something. It's not like that with you - we're the same and we just fit together so great. Like a jigsaw or something. And you're so hot!"

"But, you're not gay?"

"No. I'm not, I think. I've never been into boys. But I'm into you."

"Oh, you're a sweet toddy," Daniel kissed his lips again and then cuddled up against him - one arm and one leg thrown across to hold him close. They lay snuggled together in the post-orgasmic glow, two naked children enjoying each other.

"Hey, Mister! Where'd you put that ciggie? We don't want to burn the place down with us both up here butt-naked."

"It's okay, I put it out. Did you?"

"Yeah, I did. I think I'm gonna love you, Daniel."

"I think I'm going to love you too, my Golden Boy."

"Yeah. I think we're going to be friends."

"Yeah. These things take time. We've got plenty of that, right?"

"You've got it."
