Three Tears

Chapter 24

by David Heulfryn

Tom and James swam further down the beach. Not caring about the others, or food, or water, they just cared about each other and they needed the space to unwind. Without this space they both feared they would explode amidst the antagonism between some of the others. They both put the blame solely at Henry's feet and neither cared if they ever saw him again.

Swimming closed to the shoreline, Tom noticed ahead where the beach was ended by a large outcrop of rock.

"We'll just see what's on the other side." Tom called to James who lagged behind even though Tom slowed himself deliberately so that he could keep up.

The rocky outcrop only interrupted the beach for about ten metres before a cove appeared. Tom swam to the unexplored beach and waited for James.

"This is nice." James said as he joined Tom on the sand.

They sat on a on the beach and let the baking sun dry their bodies.

It was a small cove, surrounded by rocks that rose up to ten feet before they joined the plateau of the land. Vegetation spread to the edge of the plateau and tufts of grass grew over the edge and trees overshadowed the rocks. At the base of the rocks was some old fruit that had dropped from the trees. The sand itself was a small strip of about fifty metres long but went back several metres to meet the rocks.

The boys lay on their backs until dry.

"James. Thanks for earlier. I really enjoyed it. You have very soft and delicate hands." Tom held his hand and stroked the skin with his thumb.

"I've had a lot of practice." James joked. "I knew it would come in useful."

Tom rolled on top of James and pinned him down, sitting on his legs and holding his arms firmly above him head. "You've got a joke for everything haven't you?"

James laughed. "Yep."

Leaning forward, Tom kissed James and stopped him laughing. Their tongues danced around each other but Tom never let up on his grip.

Raising himself up, Tom ended the kisses and looked down at James. His features melted as he breathed in the boy underneath, the pale skin, the kind eyes and sweet rosy lips. Tom looked at the small clutch of brown hairs in James' armpits and brought his face down to kiss them. He couldn't smell anything, but unsurprisingly tasted of salt.

James enjoyed the sensations that Tom was making him feel. Usually any touch in the armpits made him convulse, flinch and laugh hysterically. But not now. That ticklish nature disappeared and the sensations went straight to his dick. The more Tom licked and kissed his little hairs the harder he got and Tom could feel his hardness underneath him as he writhed from his touch.

Kissing along the way, Tom sucked in one James' nipples and teased it with his tongue. Occasionally he bit the erect nub and heard James hiss his approval. Abandoning the nipples, Tom released James' arms and licked a trail down the hairless chest to the navel and poked his tongue inside, flicking at the edges as he went deeper.

James lay almost still as Tom enjoyed his body. The anticipation of the touch on his dick was slowly driving him crazy and he felt his dick grow harder the nearer Tom's lips got.

With a sense of relief, James felt Tom leave his navel and play with the light short wisps of hair which led beneath the waistband of his swim shorts. Tom pushed his tongue under the elastic but this was merely to tease. Drawing his head back, he felt James' cloth covered dick hit his chin. Pushing the tent down with his lips, he opened wide, letting the shaft into his mouth and softly bit down on the shaft with his teeth; he knew it would not hurt through the shorts.

Wanting to taste James, Tom pulled down his swim shorts and let his hard dick sway as it pointed to the sky. As he untangled the shorts from James' feet he watched as his dick twitched and fell on his stomach. Tom tossed the shorts aside and slinked his way back up James' body.

James could feel Tom's breath as he stopped by his dick.

Taking one of James' balls into his mouth, he sucked hard and loosened the scrotum. He gave the other ball the same treatment before he licked the underside of James' dick and then tried to devour the entire shaft.

"Oh, fuck, Tom." James breathed. He had waited what seemed like hours for this moment, the time when Tom finally brought him to release.

The foreplay had been so over stimulating that when he felt Tom's lips touch his dick, he was very close to the edge. He felt Tom's lips move up and down his shaft and his tongue tease the tip.

"Oh, fuck, Tom." He breathed again. "I'm gonna cum."

But Tom kept on sucking James' dick not hearing him over the breeze which passed his ears.

Feeling James buck his hips and his dick twitch inside his mouth, Tom snapped his head away in time to see ropes of cum fly from James to soak his chest. Never seeing anything so powerful, Tom watched as his dick shot high and far. As it subsided, Tom slowly wanked James until not even a drop oozed from the tip.

After his intense orgasm, James felt his body relax and sink deeper into the sand. It was as if Tom had made him float on a cushion of air as he teased and pleased his body.

Tom fell on his back and let go of James' dick. They lay side by side in silence, both boys breathing heavy with there eyes closed and a smile on their faces.

Recovering first, James opened his eyes and looked upward, up the soil covered slope of the cliff and the thick green foliage at its edge. He didn't feel the need to say anything, he was happy just to listen to the ocean lapping the shore and now light breathing of Tom.

Suddenly, his heart started racing as he saw the trees and bushes rustle and a small white face appeared and then instantly disappeared.

Phil felt that he needed to leave as soon as possible in the morning and invited Martin back to his house. They ate a quick breakfast as Martin told his mother.

When Phil went upstairs to get his bag so they could leave, Martin felt his mother's hand on his shoulder.

"I hope you slept well."

"Yes thanks, Mum."

"I trust you'll be back for dinner." It was not a question.

"Sure."

"Good. Because I want to talk to you about something later, just us. Alright?"

"Alright." Martin looked confused. "Is everything okay?"

"Of course." His mother smiled and sounded jovial. "Nothing to worry about."

They could hear the sound of Phil bounding down the stairs, asking Martin if he was ready to go. But he wanted a quick trip to the toilet first and left Phil standing in the hallway smiling nervously at Martin's mother.

She approached Phil, slowly.

"He's very sensitive. Don't hurt him."

Phil and Martin were in strange moods all day, what his mother had said to both of them seemed to rest heavy on them. Phil was very confused about her parting words and Martin was certain that something was wrong, that she hated Phil and wanted them not to be friends anymore. A bad influence, he could imagine her saying. Neither said anything to each other, instead they both understood they needed time to make sense of it all, or maybe just time for reflection. Martin left Phil in the early afternoon and returned home.

He knew his mother would be waiting their when he got home and he just hoped that nobody else was. But he didn't expect the eerie quiet as he closed the front door behind him.

Assuming no-one was home, he climbed the stairs and collapsed on his bed, his stomach churning and his heart racing.

As he closed his eyes he could hear the faint footsteps on the stairs and then just the thumbing of his heartbeat in his ears.

"Hello, Martin." His mother strolled into his room and sat opposite him, on James' bed. "Are you alright?"

"Yes, Mum." Martin sat up and faced her.

"You're back early."

"Yeah, just a little tired."

"Too many late nights."

Saying nothing, Martin tucked his hands under his thighs and watched his knees as his leg.

"How's Phil?"

Surprised at her calling him Phil instead of Philip, Martin looked at her. "He's fine."

"I like him."

Martin relaxed even more and almost beamed a smile at her.

"So, how long have you been friends?"

"Several months now."

"I'm glad you have a good friend. It's nice to see you so happy."

Martin bowed his head so that she couldn't see the huge smile that spread.

"So how far does this friendship go?"

"What d'ya mean? How far? We're friends." Martin was confused.

His mother stood up and came over to Martin; she sat next to him, their shoulders touching.

"I suppose I want to know if you're more than friends."

"He's the best friend I've ever had." His voice began to falter.

"I can see that. And I've seen the way he looks at you. And you look at him. I remember when your father used to look at me like that. You two are very similar you know, especially you faces and expressions. I could always read your dad like a book and when I saw that look in your eye yesterday, it almost brought a tear to my eye. It took me right back to when I first met your dad."

She felt Martin's shoulders shake and heard faint sobbing. Wrapping her arm around him, she pulled him close.

"It's alright, Martin. It really is alright. Is he your first?"

Sniffing, Martin tried to compose himself and talk through his tears.

"Yes."

"He's not putting any pressure on you is he?"

"No, nothing like that, he's been so good. We did start as friends and it just sort of happened. I wasn't expecting it. I just fell."

"I'm so glad for you."

"I didn't want to tell you, I was scared. Scared of what you and Dad would think."

"You know both of us well enough to know that we'd love you no matter what.

Something just snapped within Martin and he just burst out in hysterical tears, his breathing changed and he was gasping as he took each deep breath. His mother tried to console him the best she could, she hugged him, rubbed his shoulders and whispered kind words in his ear. But Martin was in an inner struggle where all his doubts disappeared and the years of secrets and repression bubbled to the surface. It was several minutes before he felt he could speak again.

"No matter how much I know there is always doubt. And I couldn't know how you'd take it. Besides I had to find out for myself.

Turning his head he looked straight into his mother's eyes.

"Mum, I'm gay."

He let the words hang in the air. The process of speaking those words lifted a huge weight from him, those invisible restraints melted away and he felt elated as he saw his mother smile and pull him into a tight hug.

"What about your Dad and Tony?" He said after she eased her grip on the long and tight hug.

"I'll tell you what, I'll tell your Dad and you tell Tony."

"Okay." Martin sniffed back the last few tears which streaked down his face.

"You know what this means though, don't you?" She smiled mischievously.

Martin shook his head. "No."

"You won't be having your boyfriend stay over again."

Boyfriend. The word danced around his head. "Why not?"

"Look at it another way. Would you expect your Dad and me to allow you to have a girlfriend stay overnight in the same room as you?"

"We didn't do anything last night. We never would with you around."

His mother got serious for a while. "So you two are doing stuff together. Look, I'm not naïve and neither is your Dad, we don't want to know what you get up to because that's private between you and him, but we do care about you. And we want you to be safe. Whatever you are doing, you are being safe, aren't you?"

Martin understood what she was talking about and knew what she was worried about. He wanted to say that they hadn't gone that far yet but thought better of it.

"We are safe, Mum. I know all about it."

"Good." She hugged him again.

The sound of the phone ringing broke them apart and his Mother went into her bedroom to pick up the extension. Martin took the opportunity to wipe his face and went over to look at himself in the mirror; is eyes were red and swollen.

"What happened!"

Martin heard his mother's raised voice and dashed in to see her eyes with fresh tears and her free hand across her mouth as if stifling a gasp.

"Is he alright! Is James alright!"
