The Sins of the Father
by N Fourbois
Chapter 33
The following day dawned warm. The sun was hanging in a completely blue sky, a real Indian summer. Rufus had rugby training to look forward to in the afternoon. It's surprising what all that can do to lift the spirits of a sensitive boy, that and a good rogering followed by a disturbed night's sleep. Michel left early to do the things he had to do and as he kissed Rufus goodbye he said
"I almost forgot. That cardboard tube I left by the front door is for you. Careful where and when you open it." Michel grinned. He kissed him again and said "See ya tonight at our place. I'll let myself out. Luv ya."
Rufus got up in his own time and after he had showered and dressed he went downstairs to pick up the tube. His father was in the kitchen and he popped his head round the door to say good morning and that he'd be down for breakfast in a few minutes. Back in his bedroom Rufus took the cap off the tube. Clearly there were more posters inside. The first one he saw was of himself and Michel naked with their arms round each other's waist. The happiness on their faces could only be starkly contrasted with pain on them when they first met the previous evening. The others, two of each, but in smaller format, were of William and Toby, together and apart, naked and clothed. Rufus became distracted as the loose bulge in his trousers became tighter and expanded, but there was no time to do anything about that now, and anyway he was still in the afterglow of what he and Michel had got up to during the night. His father was calling up the stairs
"Come along, Rufus, or you'll be late." That broke the spell.
The days and weeks passed quickly. Veronica had eventually telephoned her family, that is to say the twins and Carl. She deemed her conversation with Carl with Rufus in the background listening on speakerphone sufficient for contacting him too. He did not realise the significance of that act at first, but after reflection it wounded him and upon further reflection it hardened his attitude towards his mother. However, he found further solace in Michel which served to deepen their relationship. Veronica's rare communications were by and large uncommunicative. She refused to say where she was living or who had taken her in. She needed her space, whatever that meant, all the time implying that she would return in her own good time. One Sunday she had motored to see the twins at university, but apart from acknowledging the fact, they remained pretty tight lipped about the visit. Rufus felt that he was losing his family. Thank goodness he still had his father… and Michel.
A new routine had established itself in the Lindstrom household. Carl and Rufus managed things together. Wednesday evenings Rufus would spend at Michel's house while Brenda was at WI, and she would bring him home afterwards. Saturday was taken up with school matches. When he was free Michel would come along with Carl to support. This would lead on to a date Saturday night with Michel sleeping over and going home after Sunday lunch.
It was the week before half term. The boys were feeling in need of a break. In the good old days the Lindstroms would have gone off on holiday somewhere, but there was no hope of that this year.
At school our three boys were sitting over lunch.
"So what are we doing next week?" said Toby. "We've go to plan something or we'll end up back here after ten days, having achieved nothing."
"I've got to spend the weekend with my father and his boyfriend," said William unenthusiastically.
"I thought they were married," said Toby.
"Not married. Civil partners. It sounds so silly 'his partner'. So I'm off Friday evening and back Sunday night. Center Parcs I think. I hope it's not Butlin's. It's so common and I'm sure half the people there don't know what a shower is, let alone how to turn one on. Mum's none too pleased. She says she never sees enough of me as it is. Anyway, she's promised to take me off somewhere the following weekend."
"That leaves four and a half days," said Toby. "What about you, Rufus?"
"Mike and I will be doing something over the two weekends, but otherwise he's got to work during the week. I thought about going to see my brothers, but Hugo said they were too busy with lectures."
"Have you thought any more about a bondage session?" asked William.
"It's rather gone out of fashion in our family since Hugo broke his wrist and Mike doesn't want to know because he's got to keep himself and especially his skin in prime condition for his work. But I tell you what. Because of the wrist situation the twins left all the equipment at home and so if you want to come round and use it, go ahead, but count me out except as a spectator. I'm in a relationship now and I want to keep it that way."
"Hi, guys." The lads looked up and saw Eddie on his daily visit. 'God, that kid's blossoming,' thought Rufus. 'Adolescence is making him more and more beautiful each day. Can you commit infidelity just in your head? I'd love a photo session with him. That wouldn't be infidelity… and if I got Mike to run the shoot, even better.' "Hi, Rufus!" Eddie almost shouted it. Rufus looked up and saw Eddie.
"Hi, Eddie," answered Rufus. "Sorry, I was miles away."
"Dreaming of me getting my kit off," he added cheekily.
"In your dreams more like it," Rufus lied.
"Sit down, Eddie," said Toby. "You make the place look untidy." What he meant was the Eddie was making himself and the lads rather conspicuous and if he was going to tart, he should tart quietly.
"So what are you lot…"
"Us lot? Cheeky little so and so," said Toby.
"So what are you three doing over half term?"
"Not a lot," answered Will.
"What's this bondage you were talking about?"
"Never you mind," said Toby. "Little boys shouldn't be listening to their betters' conversations." Effervescent as ever, Eddie was not to be put down. Then he lowered his voice and said
"Will, did you mean what you said that time in the bogs about letting me play with your cock over half term?"
"Sure, providing you get Toby's permission first."
"You'll have to play with mine as well," interjected Toby.
"Well, that looks as if we've got the week filled up," said William with a lascivious grin on his face. "Let me have a look at our social calendar first. Mmm, yes, we have got a window on Thursday. I can fit you in then."
"I wonder whether I can fit you in," said Eddie with a knowing grin, but he wasn't referring to his social calendar.
"Bring your swimming kit. We're going to the pool in the morning and fun time in the afternoon."
"That's settled then. See you lot next Thursday," Eddie added cheekily.
"I'll come swimming, but I'm not up for fun time," said Rufus.
"Unless you want to be the photographer?" said Toby.
"Now why didn't I think of that?" said Rufus. Eddie was gone and hadn't heard that remark.
Half term arrived. William was taken away for the weekend by father and partner. Toby spent the weekend with his family. His brother Oliver had a schoolfriend staying over and so it wasn't entirely boring. Oliver's taste in friends was almost as good as Toby's and he knew the boy in question from school anyway. Exceptionally Michel had to work on the Saturday. Rufus could not get the thought out of his head that his mother had arranged that deliberately, knowing it was half term. It would have been all the same if they had planned to go away together for the weekend. At some stage they did want to do just that. They had enjoyed the London experience so much that they looked forward to repeating it, but not on such a grand scale as they would have to pay this time. They couldn't afford it, but there were such things as City Breaks which they saw advertised and which interested them. They knew that the next opportunity would not arrive until February half term or the Easter holidays and who knew what the family circumstances would be in six months' time?
The following Thursday became complicated for Rufus. Because he was on holiday the Wednesday evening trip to Michel's became at Brenda Dwight's insistence a sleep over. She did like company, after all, and it was only fair that she and Michael should return the hospitality he had received at the Lindstroms'. When Michel went to work, Rufus returned home. His father had already gone off to work, but it gave him time to go through his e-mails and pick up his swimming kit and camera before cycling off to William's house.
"We've just got to wait for Eddie, if he turns up, and we're meeting Toby at the leisure centre."
"You think he might not come?" said Rufus.
"Put yourself in his position. A quick grope behind the bike sheds is one thing, but what would you think as a third former of going off for the day with three lower sixth boys who were just interested in your dick and your arse?"
"Put that way I see your point," Rufus replied. "But he does ask for it." At that moment there was a ring at the door.
"Hi, guys!" Eddie came in as exuberant as ever and gave both lads a hug. 'No school social deference here,' thought Rufus, 'but then there never was with him.' Nor was it just a hug. Eddie made sure he ground against the crotches of both boys. Rufus left his camera safely at William's house and they set off for the swimming pool. Toby was already waiting for them outside. "Why are we going swimming first?" asked Eddie.
"Two reasons," replied Toby. "We like swimming, we can go boywatching and we hardly know you and so we thought it would be a good way of getting to know you better…"
"… before fun time," added William with a tell-tale giggle.
"That's three reasons," argued Eddie.
They headed for the changing room. Fortunately it was empty. The three seniors had no difficulty stripping off in front of one another as they had done for years, but they became conscious of a new element. They were keen to see Eddie naked for the first time. With experience they played it cool because there would be ample opportunity for checking him out in the showers afterwards and they preferred to play it that way, going from the unknown of seeing him in his speedo to the known of seeing him under the shower. But Eddie was also visibly eager to see them in their birthday suits. They did not let that faze them, but carried on as normal. Then shock, horror, gasp! Eddie was about to put on his boardies.
"Sorry, Eddie," said Toby, "we forgot to tell you. Strictly speedos only…"
"Or jammers," boasted William as he already had his on and Toby peremptorily confiscated the boardies.
"Luckily I always carry a spare," Rufus said. "You can use this red one. They clash with my hair."
"Everything clashes with your hair," said Toby.
"You cruel bitch," said Rufus. "You're only jealous." Meanwhile Eddie had slipped into Rufus's spare pair and they were ready to pass through the footbath into the pool area. They kept Eddie in front of them.
"What a butt," whispered William.
"What a package, too," whispered Toby.
"I think my camera lens is going to get misted up this afternoon," whispered Rufus.
"I heard all that," shouted Eddie, turning round and smiling at them.
The seniors introduced Eddie to their routine – twenty lengths to get the swimming exercise, sitting on the side with their legs in the water and talent-spotting. Fortunately for them the pool had started to fill up with people and there was some talent to spot; unfortunately the majority of young male swimmers were wearing boardies or shorts. Our young men were leading a hoped for revival by wearing speedos, but sometimes they felt it was a lost cause. However, they were determined to persevere and they had made one convert that morning.
Finally it was getting near to the end of the morning session and our boys decided they would beat the rush to get changed. They stripped off their speedos and stood under the warm shower to rinse of the chlorinated water. Now the real process of getting to know Eddie could begin and they were not disappointed.
"Make sure you're thoroughly clean if you want to join in fun time," whispered William, handing him the shower gel.
"Butt crack and under your foreskin," added Toby in case Eddie hadn't fully understood the message.
"Hey, why haven't you guys got any pubic hair?" asked Eddie in a loud voice that reverberated round the shower room. They rolled their eyes and looked up to the ceiling, trying to disown him.
"It's a club we belong to," said Rufus. "We'll tell you later."
"And stop calling us 'you guys'. It's getting on our cogs and we have all got names," said William.
"You're not at school now impressing everybody how cool you are," added Toby.
"They'll know how cool you are by the end of the afternoon," grinned Rufus. Eddie pouted.
