Journey of Love
Alone we stood in a vast valley
The night sky above us with no clouds in sight
I shivered as a breeze brushed by us
Embracing you I could feel your goosebumps
Six years ago on this very night
I pledged to you my heart and soul
No one believed we could make it last this far let alone last
A true and deep rooted love proved them all wrong
We are something special and have only just begun
I'm glad you enjoyed dinner
The dessert as sweet as your lips
I wanted it to be special and to surprise you
In turn you surprised me by bringing me here
You used a bit of magic and violins filled the air
A quarter moon and millions of stars lit up the night sky
Pulling you into my arms I felt you sigh against my chest
You told me this night was perfect and more than you dreamed
We danced for what seemed like hours
I felt a warmth between us
Sensed your being along with my own
We should be scared but all I feel is calm
I send back my love and look into your eyes
A smile dances on your face and behind beautiful eyes
An energy building and consuming us both
We begin to glow as we embrace each other once more
Our feet leave the ground and we rise further into the sky
Still no fear lies in either of us
Excitement and anticipation are at the front of my thoughts
You're here with me and I know we'll be alright
I feel it as well as you
Something's calling to us
As we leave one world behind we become as bright as the stars
Where we're going we feel a tremendous amount of love and content
I see it in the distance and I wonder if it's heaven
We descend into a field with thousands like us
A new world and another chapter beginning
A kiss
I love you
We become one
We're home
