Connected
I opened the door, there you stood eyes wide
Questions.
You approached me and your eyes flashed
Sparks of beauty.
I raised my arms over my head
A sign of love.
You moved closer, a few inches apart
Sparks.
I felt your warmth, our hands moved together
Touching.
Your mouth opened, some words
Questions.
I shook my head saying
No.
Your fingers touched mine, passion flowed
Togetherness.
OH MY God, HAVE WE CONNECTED?
I felt your energy, your eyes pierced
My soul.
You stepped forward, our bodies merged
Into one.
I wanted to open my mouth, faces glazed over
Colors of love.
You moved your hands downward, sparks flowed
You touched me.
I felt shivers, your hands transcended my body, I shook
Uncontrollably.
Your look cut into the depths of my soul
My body melted.
OH MY God, HAVE WE CONNECTED?
I opened my eyes and saw sounds, heard colors
Our union.
Your arms wrapped around my back, pulled us
Into unison.
I felt the heat of your body, we transcended into a state
Of nakedness.
Your fingers started their journey
Pathway of joy.
I felt the tension of our bodies melt, massage of union
Joined us.
You drifted into another world, pulled me into
The darkness of light.
OH, MY God, HAVE WE CONNECTED?
Our souls in unison, our thoughts
Together.
The pathway our hands traveled, secret places
Unknown journeys.
Our fingers walked through the valleys, the mountains
The crevices.
There were gasps of surprise, our souls touched
Heavenly sweetness.
Our voices, our minds opened
Secrets poured out.
Our amazing words journeyed together, compassion
Thoughts shared.
OH MY God, ARE WE MOVING TOWARDS CONNECTEDNESS?
Our new journeys, new touches, new places
Time carries us.
The new awareness has been opened, we find peace
Each other.
Our lives touch, electricity flows, sparks flash
Eyes close.
New thoughts and feelings, temperatures rise
We pull away.
Our eyes open, no one speaks, smiles emerge
Vision clears.
No words are spoken, we know the answer
We move together.
OH MY God, WE ARE THERE.
