The Virgin Boy

Styled exploits became the custodian of boyish memories,
For resentment of nudism faded at fourteen
And any diagnosis would have to include Jamie,
The liveliest grown-up in a boy's body.
Cleverly observed and placed in wild escapades
That ended in bed, yet they never really took place.
How can you relate to such fictions of the mind?
How can we delineate such soft tenderness and
Manage such sun burnt skin, for that is all we see,
Besides the unshaven chin indicative of more below.
There is a tendency in those blue grey eyes
To smile and say, 'I'm young and untouched'.
Adolescent youth you place such value in your athleticism
Yet I sadly dream outside your sphere of particular interest.
