I Loved Him

What would one do
If one's love was true
But then another day
It all passed away

If the sunny skis
Said their goodbyes
And a cloud of rain
Brought on unwanted pain

What would one do
If someone one knew
Was long in the past
In a memory so vast

Who would one go see
If his only friend was free
Free and long gone
Just like any old pawn

If one had a love
And that love went away
If one had a love
And that love couldn't stay

How would one live
With nothing to give
His friend gone forever
Seen again, never never
