Summer remembered

Do you remember? When it used to be fun?
Do you remember? When we could see the sun?
When days would pass without a cloud, and everything was new?
When I'd look up into your eyes - two shining skies of blue?
Time is slipping by us, though. And Summer's changed to Fall.
And now when I look up at you, I see no light at all.
Will Winter come? Will ice rain down? And can we stand the sting?
If relationships are seasonal, I hope ours has a "Spring."
